Maurizio Nannucci - 'All Art has been Contemporary', proposal for 2003/4

This is a proposed neon installation project for the façade of the British Museum. As early as 1967, Nannucci started creating his neon writings. When the word itself radiates light, its lustre and presence grow still stronger. Traditionally there is a relationship between knowledge and light which constitutes the space of seeing, illuminating the world and allowing us to perceive reality - 'The signifying potential of language, with its polyvalency, is inexhaustible.' (MN)
